How to Warm Up a White Kitchen

Some say white kitchens are “out” for 2026.

The reality is, while white kitchens are timeless, (I have had a white kitchen for the past 30 years!) the stark, sterile white kitchens of the past two decades are not as popular. We want more warmth and interest in our kitchens.

Since kitchen renovations are costly and time consuming, the last thing you want is a “trendy” kitchen! Here are a four easy ways to “warm up” a white kitchen with a few beautiful home styling tricks:

1- Add Wood Tones- find ways to add natural wood finishes to your kitchen with cutting boards, wood trays and antique bread bowls

2- Add Greenery/Natural Elements- incorporate green plants, herbs or cut branches/flowers to your white kitchen for a fresh, organic look.

3- Add Metal Tones- I think every room needs a touch of metal to ground the space, you can easily do this with cabinet hardware, light fixtures and plumbing fixtures.

4- Add Textiles- decorative dish towels, fabric drapery, area rugs, and cushions will go a long way to add warmth and softness to your kitchen.

Whether you have a white kitchen or not, these simple ideas will look great in ANY kitchen!
