Starfish Cottage: A Deeper Meaning
Several years ago, I named my blog “Starfish Cottage” based on my love of coastal decor, our waterfront Florida location, AND the insanely disproportionate amount of starfish adorning our home…little did I know that several years later, the name “Starfish Cottage” would take on a deeper, much more important meaning.

You see, Victor is our very own little starfish!
Sometimes we feel overwhelmed by all the problems in this world and wonder how we can make a difference. I think we feel like its hard to have an impact if we have little time and resources, but I have learned that we all need to start where we are and with what we have, the most important thing is to do SOMETHING!
We knew we couldn’t save all of the orphans in the world, but by adopting Victor- (just like the starfish in the story) we made a difference to one!
